Job Description:
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The ideal candidate should have experience in inventory management, logistics, and customer service, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversee direct customer sales and service.
Prepare and send quotations for customers; raise quotations for other salesmen.
Coordinate with the cutting center for follow-ups.
Handle billing operations and cash receipts.
Arrange transportation and manage E-Way bills.
Perform bill checking, manage cash notes, and sales notes.
Follow up on outstanding customer payments and ensure timely collections.
Manage daily cash closing, including handling cheques, RTGS, and cash receipts.
Conduct bank-related tasks such as deposits and withdrawals.
Oversee purchase entries and maintain purchase notes.
Handle material rejections, including processing credit or debit notes.
Manage godown transfers (inward and outward).
Ensure proper checking of inward and outward materials.
Prepare and track monthly stock reports for inventory verification.
Monitor and manage godown expenses and stationery purchases.
Supervise the hiring of labor and calculate weekly labor wages.
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the steel or metal industry.
Proficiency in any of the following languages: Hindi, Malayalam, English, Telugu, Kannada.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory processes.
Strong communication skills.
Proficient in MS Excel and basic computer operations.
Knowledge of local language; fluency in English is an advantage.
